Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH ANNA SCHNEIDER (nee KAUFMANN) Ruth Schneider passed away peacefully on February 19, 2017 in Summerland, British Columbia at the age of 89. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Gelinda Oze (Al), Inga Gardner (Greg), Ursula Dowhey (Gerry), Herman Schneider (Judy) and Larry Schneider (Trish); eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister Lisa and family in Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Werner in 2015. Ruth was born on November 6, 1927 in St. Ilgen, Germany to Friedrich and Susanne Kaufmann. She immigrated to Canada with Werner and her three daughters in 1957. After raising a family in Winnipeg, Ruth and Werner retired to British Colombia and enjoyed many years in the Okanagan Valley. A small gathering of family will be held at a later date. Should friends desire, a memorial donation may be made in memory of Ruth to a charity of your choice.
