Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUSSELL RONALD REICHERT Russell Ronald Reichert, of Winnipeg, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Russ was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Irene (nee Armstrong); his children, Diane (Bryan Natch), Bruce, Janet (Yvonne Inniss), Heather (Dwayne Rutherford), and their children, Meaghan (Michael De Luca) and Kelsey (Jonathan Corman). Born in Morden, Manitoba, April 25, 1925 to William and Therese, Russ was the youngest of 12, and the last surviving member of William's family. Russ was a hard-working, successful salesman and a manager with Green Cross, a division of Ciba Geigy, for 27 years until his retirement in 1988. In retirement, Russ enjoyed golf, wine-making and spending time with family. Despite suffering from Alzheimer's these past 11 years, he still played a mean game of cribbage, winning more than losing, right until the end. Russ will be fondly remembered for his stubborn yet amiable nature, the hard-work ethic he instilled in his children, and the joy he displayed when with his granddaughters. A private family memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Morden, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
