AGNES MARY HENRIKSON In compliance with Agnes' wishes, a Celebration of her Life was held in the First Nations Community Church, 44 Tentler Street on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with tea to follow. AGNES MARY HENRIKSON (nee BOULETTE) Of Winnipeg, Manitoba A wonderful and loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed to a higher life on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. She was born on December 20, 1931 to Agnes and Joe Boulette in Manigotagan, MB. Remaining to cherish Agnes' memory are her beloved sons, Monty (MaryAnn) of Winnipeg, David of Kamloops, BC and Lorne (Shirley) of Bissett, MB; daughter Denise Field (John) of British Columbia; brother Philip of Winnipeg; as well as numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cherished friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Agnes in 1939; father Joe in 1972; sisters Margaret and Louise Perkins; brother Alec; stepbrother Joe Boulette; husband Eric, and her son, Wayne. Agnes will always be remembered for her kind and caring ways. She had a loving and deep appreciation for others and demonstrated a quiet and gentle belief in the goodness of people. Agnes was special and someone to whom people would naturally turn to for help and understanding. She was a tireless worker for her family, especially her grandchildren for whom she constantly knitted and sewed. As a marvelous cook, Agnes worked at several well-known restaurants in Winnipeg and Lodges in the North. Upon retiring, Agnes' creative talents became evident in her Egg Art, creating beautiful treasures for family, friends and the community. She was a valuable resource for her knowledge and wisdom, teaching Egg Art in the community when she lived in Snow Lake and in Winnipeg. In compliance with Agnes' wishes, a Celebration of her Life will be held in the First Nations Community Church, 44 Tentler Street on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with tea to follow.
