ISABEL M. MARTIN
Date of Passing: Feb 25, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABEL M. MARTIN It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Isabel Martin at the age of 98 on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg. She is survived by her three daughters Anne (George), Linda (Ken) and Jane; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; sisters Betty and Jean; sister-in-law Ruth (Norman); cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Albert in 1968, her parents, sister Murielle, brother John, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Isabel spent all her life in the Boissevain area of Manitoba, where she taught school for a year, then became a farmer's wife in 1941 and lived on the farm before moving into a new home in town in 1967. Her passion was flowers and gardening and stitching handmade quilts. She liked bingo, card games, curling and figure skating on TV, and looked forward to family get togethers. In 2005 she moved into an apartment in Winnipeg to be closer to her family and was able to stay there until February 9 of this year. "We will miss you Mom and Nana." Special thanks to the home care staff, as well as the doctors and nurses at the Victoria Hospital for all their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date in Boissevain, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Dear Linda , Jane and Anne So sorry to hear of your moms passing. Don't think I ever had as faithful employ as Isabel. So very sorry we will not be able to attend the service as Franks sister Wilma is celebrating her 80th birthday the very same day and time in Brandon so we cannot possibly do both. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family on this very difficult day. Hope to see you all sometime when you visit Boissevain Sandra and Frank Burton - Posted by: Sandra and Frank Burton () on: Apr 18, 2017

I'm sorry I won't be able to be in Boissevain for the service. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Penny and Keith - Posted by: Penny Drysdale (Niece) on: Mar 21, 2017
