Dave was a special friend to me, the first I made when I came to Canada in April 1957. We worked together at Standard Aero Engines, in the Accessories Shop. I was new to this country and quite honestly lost, everything was so very different from what I had left behind in England. Dave sure helped to sort that out, his quick wit and sense of loyalty soon had me feeling quite at home. I left SAE in 1960 and sadly lost touch with him, I did try on a number of occasions to contact him but had no luck. Rest in Peace old dear friend, until we will meet again some day on the other side. The saddest moment is when the person who gave you the best memories, becomes a memory. Amen. - Posted by: John Weston (Old Friend) on: Mar 10, 2017

Dave always had a smile and a joke to tell. If someone needed help with something he was always there. Dave always saw the good in everyone. Dave enjoyed reading books having a smoke, drinking coffee and telling jokes. He would leave a coffee cup at all of his favorite places. Dave knew everyone in the area and he would talk with anyone about anything. Rest in Peace Dave. Enjoy your coffee and smoke. - Posted by: Doug (Friend from the lake) on: Mar 08, 2017

My thoughts are with all of you today. David was always very special to me. David was very good to my husband Guy and was wonderful to our children, Michael and Ashleigh. Unfortunetly circumstances changed everything. We did speak a few times over the years and even showed up on our door step once. We share the same birth date, so he will always be remembered. our condolences - Posted by: catherine dearman (Was step-daughter(daughter of betty wiebe).) on: Mar 08, 2017
