• The Pink was a devoted husband, wonderful father and grandfather and a friend. He was a great leader and his business acumen had him destined for a senior management position at Safeway. However, his love of Carol and his entrepreneurial spirit resulted in John purchasing his own store. He had a great work ethic and his sense of humor always made working with John fun. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Carol and the rest of the family. John made the world a better place and he left his indelible mark on everyone he touched. • John was my very first boss at Food Fare. He always made us laugh. Wether we were stocking shelves or unloading the truck on delivery day by hand we were always having fun. • I was very sad to learn of John's passing. He and my wife Marion worked together for many years at Safeway. Together we had many good times at the Safeway parties.
