SARA (SALLY) HILDEBRAND Sally was born in Russia in 1926 and came to Canada two weeks later with her family. She is survived by daughters, Carol (Rick), Lorraine (Murray); daughter-in-law Liz; grandchildren, Clinton, Cheryl, Cameron, Charlene, Dennis, Dana, Morgan, Kara, Sean and Troy; great-grandchildren, Carly, Jacob, Jenna, Kennedy, Charley, Jack and Aubrey. She was predeceased by husband, Jake and son Bob, who both passed away within months of each other in 2008, and son Alan, who passed away in 2011. Sally grew up in Winkler and when she was 17 years old worked in Steinbach for two years as a stenographer. This is also where she attended church and was a member of the Young People's Choir and was baptised in her faith when she was 18. In 1948, she married Jake Hildebrand and they were together for 46 years through good times and bad, most of these years in Transcona. Sally became a travel agent many years ago and travelling the globe with her dear friend, Inga, from Portugal to Australia and many more amazing places. This became one of her favourite things to do. During the last years, she attended Faith Bible Church where she felt right at home. She gives thanks to Pastor Jim Barber who was always ready to listen to her and give her encouragement. During the last years, especially, she was very concerned that her family would all be ready to meet her in heaven and she prayed for them every day. She wishes a very special thank you to Glenn, Cindy and Liz Hildebrand who were there for her through many difficult times. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Victoria General Hospital in Emergency and 200 North for their kind and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 21 at 11:00 am at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. I am so fortunate that God put you in my path, we spent many days through out our beautiful planet in full happiness and joy. You were full of life and ready to enjoy whatever we were discovering never complaining. I will never forget our trip to Egypt, Spain Morocco, Portugal and Turkey and many more, I also enjoyed so much the time that we would get together for supper and playing games.
