ANNE HOMENIUK (nee MAKOWICHUK) September 23, 1927- March 5, 2017 Peacefully, with her son at her side, on Sunday, March 5, Anne passed away at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her parents, Dymtro and Evdokia Makowichuk, husband Bill and daughter-in-law Judy. Anne was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially travelling to Hawaii with Bill. Anne was very devoted to her grandchildren and loved spending time with them reading books, playing board games and always letting them help in the kitchen. Her holiday dinners for family and friends were fabulous and will not be forgotten. When she wasn't spending time with family and friends, Anne enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, sewing, knitting, crocheting and making delicious desserts. We will all miss her very much. Anne is survived by her son Michael, granddaughter Nicole, grandson David and special buddy Squirt. The family would like to thank the staff of Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home for their excellent care and compassion. We would especially like to thank Elena, who was exceptionally caring and kind. At Anne's request, cremation has taken place and a private family service was held.
