He will be especially missed by his new great-grandson Michael. He is also survived by his sister Rose and her children He was predeceased by his parents Joe and Lee Pastula Art was born on November 2, 1931 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He lived with his parents on Logan, spending his summers at his grandparents homestead in Arnes. Hugh John McDonald School was where he met and fell in love with his wife Betty. Art and Betty wed on May 15, 1954, moving into the home they built in Fort Garry, where they lived their entire lives together. Arthur also welcomed his recently widowed mother-in-law to live with him and his family for the next 40 years. Arthur started his formal working career as a furrier, working at Hecht Furs for a decade, then moving to Conviron where he was a fabricator until his retirement in 1992. To further support his family, Art worked for his parents business, Space Heating and Appliances, as a furnace installer. He also found time to take on many other jobs for his clients, such as building garages and renovating homes. For Dad, building was in his sole. His family home, was followed by a cottage at Grand Beach, then two more homes in Fort Garry and finally with a second cottage. He did it all, designing, framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing and finishing. Dad's favorite pastime was fishing, travelling to Pine Falls, Pinawa or Manigotogan many summer weekends. The last five years of Dad's life were made difficult by COPD. With the care and support of Mom, he was able to live in the home he loved until the end. The family would like to thank the staff of Victoria General Hospital and HomeCare (Josh, Clemens and Joseph) for their care and support Arthur has been cremated, and a private family gathering will be planned. DAD Thank you for giving us the "Tools" to conquer anything and never to be afraid You will always be in our hearts You will be deeply missed
