Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTEOFIL ZABAWSKI March 2, 1917 - March 8, 2017 Peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 Teofil passed away at Holy Family Home, at the age of 100 years plus six days. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his stepdaughter Margaret Dingwall. He is also survived by his sister Anna; nieces and nephews in Ukraine; also his late wife's nephew Tom Simpson and family in Edinburgh, Scotland. Teofil was predeceased by his beloved wife Christina in July 1980; his parents Katreen and Bazylie; brothers George and Michael; and sisters Olga and Mary in Ukraine. Teofil was born in the village of Kupiczwold, Poland (now Ukraine). He came to Winnipeg via Edinburgh, Scotland, where he married and settled after the Second World War. I would like to thank the staff of Holy Family Home for the care and compassion they provided to my stepfather. At Teofil's request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
