ANNE REMPEL Anne was born July 20, 1925 near Altona, Manitoba to John A. and Maria (nee Winter) Klassen, and died peacefully March 11, 2017 at St Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Anne lived in the sure and constant knowledge that she was going to meet her redeemer Lord Jesus Christ. She was predeceased by husband Jac Rempel, sisters Agathe Scott and Sylvia Lodge, and nephew Mark Lodge. Anne is survived by daughter Elaine and son Alan, both of Edmonton, daughter Karen (Charles) Finstad of Calgary, brother Lawrence (Katherine) Klassen of Red Deer, brother-in-law Graham Lodge of Kingston, Ontario and nieces Cynthia and Heather Lodge. The family expresses their profound gratitude for the compassionate care given by Dr. A. Bala, Dr. F. Armstrong, Dr. J. Voldeng and the Palliative Care staff of St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital, and for the support and prayers of the clergy and congregation of St. John the Evangelist. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 17 at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 11111 57 Ave., Edmonton. A memorial service in Winnipeg with interment of ashes in Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg will take place this summer. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to a charity of your choice.
