Hello Dot, I am in Brandon today, the first day of summer and National Aboriginal Day, to say the eulogy at Aunt Vi's funeral in Carberry. Leigh tried unsuccessfully to find you and I just found you this AM. I am sorry to hear about the loss of Bob. What a fine man!!! Vi died peacefully, in her sleep, early Sunday morning. She had been living in the Carberry Personal Care Home for the last several years, essentially after Mom broke her hip 5 years ago and had to go to a Care Home. Living independently, without her sister, was too much for Vi. She had some dementia at that time and it became very noticeable without Mom being by her side - Mom the mind, Vi the eyes. They were quite a pair!!! The friendship that you and Bob shared with Vi and Roy throughout the years was so very important to them. I hope you are doing well and have your lovely extended family close by. I recall that your children and their grandchildren brought great joy! All the best, Faye - Posted by: Faye Brownlie (Niece of Vi McFarlane) on: Jun 21, 2018
