THERESA J. (TESSIE) BORLEY June 24, 1943 - January 24, 2017 Peacefully with her son by her side. Tessie passed away at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 73 years. Tessie worked as an Accountant for many years. When not a work, she could be found at R.C.L. Winnipeg Branch #1. Tessie will be sadly missed by her sons, Daniel and Joseph LaBuik (Linda Gaye-Potts), sisters Leone Brazeau (Cyril), Margaret Chornawka, Dorrie Kapki (Stan), Lynda Johnson, Cheryl Borley, brothers Clayton (Shirley), Richard (Diane), her close friend Joe Lambert, nieces, nephews and many more relatives. Also by her friends from the Legion and The Bomba Club. Tessie was predeceased by both of her parents and two brothers, Boyd and Lorne Borley, husband Fred LaBuik in 1992, partner of over 15 years Charles Truelove in 2013, her daughter Dorothy LaBuik-Benham in 2015, plus a number of other relatives. As per her wishes, Tessie has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on March 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bardal Funeral Home and Crematorium, 843 Sherbrook, Winnipeg, Manitoba, followed by a reception at 1:00 p.m. to be held at the Royal Canadian Legion #252, 426 Osborne St., Winnipeg, Manitoba. Flowers are respectfully declined. The family asked that any donations be sent to your choice: of The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
