JANICE MAE STORIE It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our wife, mom, grandmother and sister, Janice Mae Storie (Prime) on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the age of 69. Mom was born on July 5, 1947 to James and Anne Prime in Stonewall, Manitoba. She was the third of six daughters in the family. The Prime family have an amazing, loving bond that brings everyone together and many lasting memories have been made when we gather as a family. Jan above all else loved her family. She was our strength, our support and our compass in life. If called, she would be there for us no matter what barriers stood in her way. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anne Prime. Jan will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Art; her children, Alan (JoAnn), Tania (Tony) and Dean; her grandchildren, Nico, Gianna and Lanaya (Caleb); her sisters and their families, Elaine and Gordon Larcombe, Pearl and Gerald Stefishen, Carol and Eric Oughton, Sharon and Rick Morgenroth, Nancy and James Zelazny; and her work family at Northland Ford. We will gather to celebrate Jan's life on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hemauer Funeral Home, 122 Lathlin Avenue, The Pas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Our deepest sympathy to all in the Prime and Storie families. I grew up with at least 4 of the girls, and spent many good times in the Prime house, and remember Anne's poppy seed and chocolate cakes. She also made our wedding cake. So very sorry for your loss of Janice. - Posted by: Cheryl Willis (long time family friend) on: Mar 17, 2017

  • We were acquaintances with Art and Jan way back when we all lived in the Stonewall Trailer Court. Rest in peace Jan !! - Posted by: Robert Crawley (friends) on: Mar 15, 2017
