ROGER MAURICE NAULT The world got dimmer today. It is with extreme sorrow the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Roger on March 14, 2017. Lovingly remembered and forever missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Gladys, and children Lucille (Rick), Norma (Darcy), Donald (Namita) and Jackie (Larry). Pepere will be greatly missed by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roger was predeceased by his mother Alexandrine, father Godfroi, brothers Andy and Paul, mother-in-law Annie, father-in-law Leo, brothers and sisters-in-law Gerry, Betty (Art) and Bernie. He is survived by brothers Aurele (Claire), Phillip (Louise), and brothers and sisters-in-law Anna, Carole (Norval), Doris, and Allan, as well as many "favourite" nieces and nephews. Roger was born in Richer, Manitoba and moved his family to Powerview in 1965 where he began a 30+ year career with Abitibi Price as a pulp cutter. After retirement, Mom and Dad spent 20 years wintering in Texas and enjoying many summers in St. Malo. Roger was a man of many talents and was always willing to lend a hand. Dad enjoyed playing fiddle in his band, woodworking and was considered a "jack of all trades". Dad could fix anything. Dad was also an avid sportsman and loved baseball, golfing, curling and pool. He was proud of his achievements as Texas State Shuffleboard Champion for four years and his two gold medals representing Canada in the Shuffleboard Olympics in Florida and Australia. Interment will take place in Richer Cemetery at a later date. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care Dad received by Dr. Tim Hiebert and the staff of the St. Boniface Palliative Care and Health Sciences Centre CancerCare Units. If desired, memorial donations may be made in Roger's memory to St. Boniface Palliative Care Ward or CancerCare Manitoba. ...until we meet again!

My sincerest condolences to Gladys and the rest of the family. I've known Roger for a number of years, starting from the early baseball days in Richer. He was very much dedicated to his family first and foremost and was a true friend. I know that he will be missed. Roger is also responsible for hanging the nickname "Shack" on me, a name that I am still called by some people to this day. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Ed Sabot (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2017

Condolences to the Nault Family. We'll never forget the neighbourhood kids we grew up with or the great times we had. Mr. Nault was always pleasant to the many friends the kids brought home and he made us all feel welcome. He had that soft gentle heart yet when he gave the look we all knew it was time to go home. These are memories we remember and never forgot.Goodtimes are cherished memories.
