LOUISE ANNE BROWN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife and mother, Louise, on March 13, 2017. Louise is survived by her husband John, of 65 years, her daughter Judy and husband Michael Carcasole of Richmond Hill, son Douglas and wife Valerie of Winnipeg and son Michael and wife Monica of Glenlea. She was very proud of her grandchildren, Amy Brown and Steve, Alexandra and Jonathan Carcasole of Toronto, Adam Brown and Keith Brown of Winnipeg. Louise was born June 29, 1930 in Winnipeg. She attended St. Mary's Academy for Girl's school, excelling in music - she completed her Grade 12 Royal Conservatory of music piano. Louise worked at various accounting positions at Hudson's Bay, BNS, and income tax. While raising a family she worked at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for 15 years and Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for 10 years as church secretary. She was involved in the Catholic Women's League and folk group with her church. She was always thinking of others. She knit hundreds of pairs of mittens for disadvantaged children and hundreds of cuddle dolls for children with cancer. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Transcona with reception to follow at St. Michael's Villa at 114 Yale Ave. East. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Louise Brown's Honour.
