Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDEBRA ANN RICHARDSON December 26, 1957 - March 13, 2017 On Monday, March 13, 2017 Debbie Richardson passed away at Extendicare Oakview Place with loved ones by her side. Debbie was predeceased by her father Don Richardson, brother Allen Richardson, and sister Carren Wedge. Debbie's passing is especially mourned by her mother Betty Richardson, brother-in-law Terry Wedge, and nephews Greg Sarvis (Alicia Martel, great-nieces Alayna and Jordyn) and Darren Wedge (Brianne, great-nephews Kasen and Keaton). Debbie was born in Glenboro on December 26, 1957, and from a young age lived with her parents and siblings in Charleswood. Her passion and life work revolved around horses. Debbie started out riding and showing horses at a young age and then began galloping horses for her father - first at their farm and then at Assiniboia Downs. At 17 she wrote her trainer's test and then worked as a trainer or groom at several race tracks throughout Canada and the United States for the next several years. Deb even made a trip to Australia and New Zealand mainly to see one of her favourite horses, Pompeii Court who had been sold to stand at stud in New Zealand. Her mom, Betty would like to thank the Wedge family and all the staff at Oakview Place 1N for the exceptional care they give their patients. They are extraordinary people and I love them dearly. A memorial service will be held at Lilyfield Church, 1759 Road 68 (Lilyfield Church Road off Sturgeon) on Friday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held later. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. KEN LOEHMER FUNERAL HOME in care of arrangements 204-886-0404
