Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE-BLANCHE AUDET (nee LEMIRE) On Friday, March 10, 2017, at the age of 96 years, Blanche Audet died peacefully with her daughters by her side. Blanche will forever be remembered by her children, Fern, Ray (Gisele), Denise, Theresa (Gilles Bujold), Linda (John Trudel), Richard (Nadine), John (Donna) and Dan; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Isabelle and Georgette; as well as countless friends and extended family members. She was predeceased by her spouse, Edgar; her sisters, Rose, Cecile and Bernadette; all of her six brothers, and one grandchild, Yves Trudel. On June 12, 1920, Blanche was born in Ville-Marie, Quebec. She lived in Thompson, MB from 1960 to 1986. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Legion in Thompson and worked at the YWCA from 1974 to 1985. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's League. In 1986, Blanche moved to Winnipeg and helped raise three of her grandchildren and several foster children. Prayers will be held this evening, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. also in the Church with Rev. Fr. Barry Schoonbaert p.p. presiding. For those who wish, viewing will be held prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, at alzheimer.ca.
