She was predeceased by her beloved husband Kenneth Ledbrook. Doris was born January 1, 1916 in Fillmore, SK. She was the daughter of Dr. Stanley and Kathleen Gilson. Doris met Kenneth during the Second World War. He was in the Bomber Command for the R.A.F. and during the last year of the war, he was stationed in Canada at Weyburn, SK as a flight instructor. They were married on January 31, 1944 and returned to England. They returned to Canada in 1948 and made Regina, SK their home. They relocated to Winnipeg in 1959 when Kenneth was transferred with the Ford Motor Company. Doris loved golfing, curling and bridge. She was a long-time member of the Charleswood Golf Club. Doris' family would like to thank Aileen Elliott, a very special friend and bridge partner. A very special loving thanks to Jennifer Ledbrook for her dedicated devotion and special care to her grandmother for the last 30 days of Doris' life.
