CHRISTINE MORSE Surrounded by her loving family, Christine Anne Morse, daughter of George and Mary Desilets, of Elie, Manitoba, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at the St. Boniface Hospital, after a brief but courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. Christine was born on April 17, 1962. Christine leaves to mourn her partner of 19 years, Jeff Lannoo, her sons Tyler Morse (Ashley) and Jan Morse (Michelle), their father Mark Morse, her siblings, Karen (Rolly) Cyrenne, Lou (Jim) Ogston, Len (Mona) Desilets, numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, as well as many, many friends and her faithful dog, Tanner. Christine received her masters certificate in yoga in the winter of 2012 and taught yoga in several communities. She performed reiki and gave many hot stone massages and aromatherapy. Her greatest pleasure was bringing comfort and peace to those around her. She was a guiding angel. Christine, Chris, Chrissy had many names but most of the children in her life knew her as Auntie Tigger. She loved to hear their giggles when she bounced around and sang the Tigger song. Music was always a big part of Chris' life. She could whistle beautifully any tune she heard and could identify most songs and artists from the classic rock era. In later life she enjoyed the soothing sounds of music in nature - a waterfall, a babbling brook, crashing waves, even a thunder storm. Summer trips to Beresford Lake with her mother and siblings were always a very special treat for Christine. She sometimes planned for and organized these trips many months in advance so that we wouldn't forget them or make plans that would interfere. Spending time with family meant a great deal to Chris. Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Thanksgiving family gatherings were really important. She loved to have her boys around her and proudly bragged about them whenever the opportunity arose. Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A special thank you to Joan, Shawna, Maureen and Cindy for all their love and support these past few weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine's memory may be made to the Humane Society. • I remember Christine when she was a cute little niece of her Aunty Gloria's and she would often bring her along for a car ride to my parents' home at Starbuck, MB. for a short visit with her aunty.
