DIANE LYNN PAULISHYN June 17, 1950 - March 19, 2017 It is with love and great sadness we announce the passing of our sister Diane on March 19, 2017, with family by her side, at the Riverview Health Centre. She won her battle with cancer by escaping its grasp and forever leaving it behind. Diane was greeted by our mom (August 2012), dad (January 1994), brother-in-law Wayne (January 2017), and numerous other relatives. Left to lovingly remember her are siblings Val (Kees), John (Noreen), Sharon, and Darlene, nieces and nephews Tamara, Nick (Jamie), Kim, Sean, and great-nephews Miles, Benjamin and Asa. Diane enjoyed reading, gardening, yard work and crafts, many of which were gifted to others - especially as stocking stuffers. We appreciated that Diane lived with and took great care of our mother in her declining years. Diane spent all her working life as a civilian with the Department of National Defense retiring in June 2005. The family would like to thank Dr. Wong, Dr. Kowaluk, nurses and health care aide staff at the St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Health Centre for their care and comfort provided to Diane and the family. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, we graciously ask, as per Diane's wishes, that donations be made to St. Boniface CancerCare and Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit.
