MADELINE CAROL NELSON (nee ANDERSON) On Wednesday March 15, 2017 Madeline Carol Nelson (nee Anderson) passed away peacefully at the age of 93 after a brief illness. Madeline was born and raised in Winnipeg, daughter of Albert and Florence Anderson; sister to Florence Luella and Albert Eugene Joseph (Bud). She married Donald Ross Nelson in 1949 and is survived by her son Gary (Ann); nieces, Carla Coombes (David), Karen Crozier (Arnold); nephew Albert Tomasson (Deb); great-nephews and nieces, Tim, Karen, Kristi (Garret), Eric, Elly, and great great-nephew and nieces, Jack, Kira, and Aislinn. Madeline will be remembered for her love of any and all sweets; always amazing to us that she could enjoy them and remain such a tiny person. She was a passionate dog lover and supporter of all causes related to animal welfare. Her expertise in needlework was recognized, awarded and proudly displayed in her and family member's homes. She enjoyed the summer months, especially on her deck and the memories at Minaki and Hecla. Cremation has taken place and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society or Canadian Wildlife Federation.
