Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERN MCNAUGHTON It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Vern McNaughton on April 1, 2017, in Winnipeg, at the age of 97 years. He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Wayne (Elaine) and Terry; grandchildren, Andrew, Laura and Niquie; sisters-in-law Thelma (Cornelius) Penner, Shirley Hall and Janet Berry, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Vern was predeceased by his beloved wife Theda, his parents Duncan and Isabella, and his seven siblings. Vern was born in Dauphin on March 3, 1920. He served with the R.C.A.F. in England during the war and then worked for the Manitoba Power Commission/Manitoba Hydro for 33 years retiring as a storekeeper. Dad enjoyed life to the fullest and especially enjoyed the activities and accomplishments of his grandchildren. He was an honourable, gentle man with a wealth of experience and knowledge that he readily shared. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
