Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES KENNEDY BURGESS TURNER (KEN) Also known to some who loved him as "Melvin". With heavy hearts we announce that Ken lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on March 9, 2017 surrounded by loving family. He was born in Winnipeg on August 21, 1956 and spent his childhood in the Sturgeon Creek neighbourhood in St. James. In high school he had a part-time job doing oil changes and tire maintenance at a local garage. This led to a career working in and managing Parts Departments at GM dealerships in Winnipeg and Squamish, BC. He was a hard working, valued employee. Ken was loved and will be missed by his wife Cathie Addison, his daughter Heather (Pete), his sons Ian (Jacynthe) and Jordan, his grandson Alex, his sisters Lynne (Barry) and Heather (David), his nieces Jocelyn (Scott and Marlie), Aynsley (Steve and Piper and Iris), Colleen (Mathieu and Antoine) and nephew Michael (Taylor). At Ken's request, there will be no funeral. There will be a gathering of friends and family later in the Spring. If you wish to honour Ken's life a donation to the Cancer Society or Adopt a Pet would be appreciated.
