DOROTHY (BETH) SONES It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mom Beth Sones, who passed suddenly at home on April 3, 2017. Mom was predeceased by our dad, George Sones, her husband of 44 years; her parents, William and Dorothy Eyre, and leaves to mourn her sisters, Shirley (Bill), Peggy, Grace (Allen); and brother Billy (Charlotte). She will be greatly missed by us kids, Karen (Brent), Tricia (Brad) and David (Dawn). She loved her grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, Felicia, Lavaha, Austin, and a few four legged ones more than anything and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. When mom wasn't looking after one of the grandkids, she loved watching curling, figure skating and helping out with the monthly birthday bash at the Kiwanis Centre. Mom was a hairdresser for most of her life and after retiring, she found her true calling, working at Wendy's on Regent. Anyone who knew our mom knew she did not want a fuss made over her, and to honour her wishes we will be having a private graveside service. We would like to thank Jacqueline at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, for assisting us with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Hospital or the Winnipeg Humane Society. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca, Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550.

Karen, Tricia and David, I am so sorry for your loss...my heart broke when mom told me about 'Buff'. Your mom has a very special place in my heart and the memories are many. She made me laugh! Her heart was huge and would do just about anything for anyone. I know my mom will miss her daily weather report, visits to A&W and whatever adventures they planned together. I loved your mom dearly! Hugs to you all... - Posted by: Shauna Wear (Family Friend) on: Apr 10, 2017
