• I remember years ago watching Bill on tv playing hockey and seeing him at the arena with the Winnipeg Jets, and the Sutherland Clan gatherings at his Cottage at Sandy Hook and playing golf. And most recent meeting his youngest daughter out in Steinbach. He will be missed as he was my fathers 1st cousin. May he rest in peace. Sans Peur! • Our thoughts & prayers are with the Sutherland family after such a huge loss. Mr. Sutherland, as I knew him was a great man, larger than life with an amazing knowledge of hockey. He always had a kind word to me and treated me with respect. The Sutherland legacy will live on forever through his family and everyone he was in contact with. • I always looked up to my cousin Bill not only as a fine athlete but as a man of character and a person who always had time to speak with you and set a fine example to young and old people alike.
