Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUISE PAISLEY (nee FLOOD) The family is sad to announce the sudden passing of our mother and grandmother Louise Paisley on April 9, 2017 at Lions Manor supportive housing. Mom was born on June 18, 1932 in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her mother Marie Flood (Cyr), her father Benjamin Flood, and her brother Gerald Flood. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons Todd Martin (Wendy), Russell Martin (Elsie), Cameron Ducharme, nieces Debbie Browne (nee Flood, Gary), Donna Flood, grandchildren Alysha (Skot), and Angela (Adam) Martin, John and Alexis Martin, Ashley and Noelle Ducharme. Mom went to Kelvin High School in approximately 1950, she enjoyed track and field in her youth and high school sports. When mom got into the work force, her main job for a majority of her career was a key punch operator, starting at such big companies like Air Canada, Great West Life, and ending off at MTS as a computer technician. She worked many, many jobs and many, many levels of these jobs in between the above mentioned with great success! Mom was very active in sports herself as a youth, and followed all her sons sports endeavours with passion and delight! Mom was very passionate about playing piano, always willing to play such favourites from Rachmaninov to such classics as Little Brown Jug and polkas, she also loved to listen to most music but had a special liking for Jazz music, and was a member of the Winnipeg Jazz Society, as well as being very involved in Folklorama at the United States pavilion. She had developed many, many friendships over the years and many of these people are close in our hearts with great memories! Thank you to the staff and management at Lions Manor supportive housing for their professionalism and hard work! Cremation has already taken place. A Celebration of Mom's life will commence at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the reception area of the Chapel Lawn Funeral Chapel at 4000 Portage Avenue on April 15, 2017.
