Nous nous souviendrons de son amour pour sa famille, son dévouement à sa communauté et son bon sens de l'humour. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Lucie (née Gagnon); leurs enfants Louis, Rolande (Jocelyne LeBlanc), Nicole, Monique (John Loiselle), Jean (Cheryl), Roger (Roxanne), Ginette, Liliane (Jeff Vilar); 15 petits enfants Danièle et Denis Kendall, Alexandre Luke, François, Sylvie et Chantal Auger, Michelle et Robert Kirouac, Stéphane Kirouac et Mélanie Nadeau, Jérémie, Mathieu et Philippe Chase, Élizabeth et Justin Vilar; et 4 arrières petits enfants Isobel, Émilie, Liam et Félix, prédécédé par Sébastien et Patrick. Ainsi que sa soeur Marie-Reine Vieville (Fernand); beaux-frères et belle-soeurs Annette Kirouac, Jeannine Kirouac, Eloise Lord, Evéline Gagnon sgm, Cécile Mulaire, Rose-Marie et Antonin Nadeau, Céline et Edouard Gagnon, plusieurs neveux et nièces, et amis. La messe des funérailles aura lieu le 19 avril à 11h00 (prières à 10h30) en l'église Catholique St-Joachim à La Broquerie, suivi de l'inhumation privée au cimetière de la paroisse. Les personnes intéressées sont invitées à faire un don à la Villa Youville 15 ch. Charrière, Ste Anne MB R5H 1C9 ou à la Paroisse St-Joachim, C.P. 129 La Broquerie MB R0A 0W0. Peacefully on April 12, 2017 Eugene Kirouac passed away at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne at the age of 84. He will be remembered for a fine sense of humour, love for his family and dedication to the community. Along with his loving wife Lucie (née Gagnon), he leaves behind eight children, Louis, Rolande (Jocelyne LeBlanc), Nicole, Monique (John Loiselle), Jean (Cheryl), Roger (Roxanne), Ginette, Liliane (Jeff Vilar); fifteen grandchildren, Danièle and Denis Kendall, Alexandre Luke, François, Sylvie and Chantal Auger, Michelle and Robert Kirouac, Stéphane Kirouac and Mélanie Nadeau, Jérémie, Mathieu and Philippe Chase, Élizabeth and Justin Vilar; and four great-grandchildren, Isobel, Émilie, Liam and Félix, predeceased by Sébastien and Patrick. He also leaves behind his sister Marie-Reine Vieville (Fernand); brothers and sisters-in-law, Annette Kirouac, Jeannine Kirouac, Eloise Lord, Evéline Gagnon sgm, Cécile Mulaire, Rose-Marie and Antonin Nadeau, Céline and Edouard Gagnon, many nephews and nieces, and numerous friends. The funeral mass will be held at St. Joachim Catholic Church in La Broquerie on April 19 at 11:00 a.m. (prayers at 10:30 a.m.). Private interment will follow at the parish cemetery. For those so inclined, a donation can be made to the Villa Youville (15 ch. Charrière, Ste. Anne, MB R5H 1C9) or the Paroisse St-Joachim, (C.P. 129, La Broquerie, MB R0A 0W0). Funeral direction will be provided by Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach.
