SYLVIA GENEVA CULVER-BRIAN (nee BRIAN) On Tuesday, April 11, 2017, Sylvia Geneva Culver-Brian passed away peacefully, at her home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 65. Syl was born in Red Lake, Ontario on January 4, 1952 to Charlotte and Jack Culver. After the loss of her dad at a young age, Syl and her mother moved to Winnipeg. It was in the city that Syl developed her two passions: motorcycles and breeding Boston Terriers; Tammy, Buster, Missy and Bettie were particularly special. Syl then became a mother to David, Dana and Delayne who each proved to be her greatest passion of all. Syl was always generous with her time and her heart, thanklessly committing to countless sports teams, fundraisers and events. Syl then became a grandmother to Jayden and Alexa, it was the two happiest moments of her life. Syl will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends in not just Winnipeg but across Canada. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society in honour of Sylvia. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street. I am heartbroken to hear of Sylvia's passing. My deepest condolences to all her family. We were good friends in school but unfortunately lost touch over the years. I have wonderful memories of sleepovers at Sylvia's and being kissed (licked) awake by Buster. We also had great times on the way to the beach in the back of my parents' station wagon, not to mention the shenanigans we got up to at the beach. Unfortunately I am out of the country and not able to attend the service, but I will be there in spirit. - Posted by: Jamie McHugh-Lachiver (Friend) on: Apr 20, 2017

My deepest heartfelt condolences to David, Dana and Delayne on the passing of their sweet mom. Syl had a special place in my heart and will be missed dearly. Syl was very sensitive even though she wanted people to think she was tough. She had a heart of gold and a wonderful, quirky sense of humour and a smile that brightened a room. Rest in peace my dear cousin......'til we meet again. - Posted by: Verla (Cousin) on: Apr 20, 2017
