ROBERT CLINTON (JERRY) MOFFAT Jerry passed away peacefully at the Maples Personal Care Home with Carol by his side on April 18, 2017, aged 87 years. He was born December 5, 1929 in Bassano, Alberta to Minnie Mae and Denton Moffat. Dad was predeceased by his parents; two sisters and two brothers. He will be fondly remembered by his wife Carol, of 65 years; children, Denton, Donald, Debbie (Raymond), and Devin (Julianna) and their children, Jenelle (Mike), Dustin (Dani), Trevor (Candace), Tyler, Kristin (Richard), Dallin and Jalaina and four great-grandchildren, Miles, Hayden, Harlow and Mason, Jerry attended High School in Lethbridge, Alberta, Olds Agricultural College and successfully completed his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Alberta in 1953. His career in the Agriculture industry began as a District Agricultural Representative with the Alberta government in Vermillion, Alberta. From here he moved to Grande Prairie in the same position and on to Edmonton and Calgary. In 1968, Dad moved to Winnipeg and had 23 successful years in his career with Pioneer Grain. Dad enjoyed his field so much; he worked as an Agrologist until the age of 77. Dad was a decorated athlete in baseball, hockey and curling. He also coached his sons in hockey and baseball. Jerry belonged to the Assiniboine Curling Club Saturday morning men's league for over 30 years. Jerry was a passionate hunter and fisherman. The family enjoyed over 30 years at Corkscrew Island in Lake of the Woods, where many memories were made with friends and family. Mom and Dad had numerous wonderful trips and cruises around the world. Carol and the family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at the Maples PCH for their kindness and compassionate care. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba and Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or to the charity of their choice. Condolences may be emailed to the family at debbiemb@shaw.ca. In compliance with Jerry's wishes, no funeral service will be held. The family enjoyed a private celebration of Jerry's life. May he rest in Peace.

I curled with Jerry for a few years at Assiniboine and he was an excellent curler. We loved hearing his hunting stories and everyone found him to be a source of inspiration.
