KENNETH RALPH EINARSON We are sad to announce the passing of Ken Einarson on Friday, April 21, 2017, at the age of 87. Ken will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 64 years, Elaine; his children Warren (Anne), Ralph (Joanne), Krista (Boyd), daughter-in-law Meg, and predeceased by his son Alan; his grandchildren Harry, Lewis, Johann, Perry, Owen, Ellie, Jonina, Freya, Gestny and Soren who loved him as their Afi. Ken was born and raised in Gimili to parents Kristjana and Harry. He graduated with a Gold Medal from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba. His career in the agricultural industry spanned four decades and he retired in 1992 as General Manager of the Simplot Chemical Company in Brandon. Ken's life adventures included obtaining his pilot's licence in his 40s and taking up sailing Lake Winnipeg on his retirement. His travels with Elaine included many trips to Australia to visit Warren and family, Iceland, Europe and winter trips to Palm Springs where Krista and family reside. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
