JUDY KENNY (nee COCKS) Judy Kenny (Cocks) passed away suddenly on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the age of 54. Judy was born in Regina, SK and attended Dr. Martin LeBoldus High School. She was predeceased by her father Roy Cocks. She is survived by her mother Verle Cocks, brother Brad (Tracy) Cocks and sister Laureea (Patrick) Kuprowski. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Nicole, Ryan, Rachel, Taylor and Dallon, and will be dearly missed by her aunt and uncle, Bev and Mel Vetter. Judy also leaves behind Terry Kenny and family who were very special to her. Judy had a loving soul which resulted in her making many friends and creating a “Winnipeg Family” while she spent her 36 years working at CKY TV (CTV) in Winnipeg. She loved her work and often referred to herself as the “Director of First Impressions.” Judy always made a “Great” first impression. She was known to do anything she could for you, and would tell you what you needed to know or do if she felt you needed the advice. This advice was always motivated from love and a true wish to help those she cared for, and was always given with her fabulous smile. After leaving CTV, Judy spent her time enjoying her home and the company of her dogs. Her most enjoyed activity was taking her “babies” to the dog park. She enjoyed watching her most recent Border Collie companions, Fibi, Wilson and Joy run and play, and also took great pleasure in being with her smaller shitzus, Shmoo and Whisper. Her dogs were loved and very well looked after, and anyone who loved Judy had to love her dogs. Judy was taken from this world far too soon and will be loved and missed by so many. A celebration of Judy's life will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Canad Inns Destination Centre Fort Garry (1824 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, or to the dog adoption/rescue community in your area. Condolences can be emailed to remembering.judykenny@gmail.com.
