My sincere condolences to Emile's family. I got to know Emile at a very young age. He was my very first barber. Later, we were both part of an amateur theatre group, where his magical fiddle playing greatly enhanced our presentations, both here in St. Laurent and at Festival du Voyageur. He will be sadly missed by both his loving family and indeed by the whole community of St. Laurent. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Norbert Langelier (Friend, neighbor) on: Apr 26, 2017

I met Emile in the early or late '90's. He played fiddle for me and another friend Robert-big man -Chartrand and I did the Red River Jig. It was a show at Birds hill park, on the history of the Metis. The show lasted all afternoon, and what a great time we had. Especially Emile, you could see and feel the love he had for the fiddle and how he loved to play it. Over the years, I lost touch with Emile and I am so sorry for that. My condolences to all the family. Rest now my friend till we meet again and you can play fiddle while I jig for you. - Posted by: Leo Lavallee (Cousin/Friend) on: Apr 25, 2017
