Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDEGARD VANDENBYLLAARDT On April 18, 2017, at her home on Tache Avenue, Hildegard Vandenbyllaardt went to be with her Lord. Hilda was born on June 17, 1940 in Steinbach, Manitoba to John and Sara Klassen (nee Voth). She grew up in Winnipeg and moved to Eton Rugby with her two young children Robert and Amanda after the breakup of her first marriage in 1967. Hilda married Dirk Vandenbyllaardt in 1971 and they had a son together Dirk Jr. who predeceased them in 1988. Hilda began her teaching career in Transcona and through further education became a special education teacher for the Dryden Board of Education. Hilda and Dirk eventually retired and moved to Winnipeg where Hilda took up her next great passion for speaking and telling stories at Toastmasters. She was a member of the board in two clubs, Goodbye Jitters and Daytimers for many years. Her husband Dirk passed away on December 2, 2016. Robert is married to Lenore (nee Ciszewski) and they have one child K'laya and live near Anola, Manitoba and Amanda is married to Darren Single and they also have one child Alex and live in Langley, BC. Everyone is welcome to show their respects at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Canadian Mental Health Association. I am sorry I was not able to attend your funeral. You were always a wonderful listening person, who always helped me. I loved going to your place to sleep . I miss you a lot.
