RAYMOND JAMES SPENCE JR. "Wab iski Makwa" There are no words to express our sadness at the sudden passing of our son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Raymond James Spence Jr. on Friday, April 21, 2017 in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 36 years. Left to remember his radiant smile, beautiful personality and uplifting spirit are his parents Cathy and Jessie Spence; children Sydney, Raymond James III (RJ), Isiah, D'Ray, Cici and Raynae; grandson baby Daniel; siblings Jessica (Craig), Heather (Mike) and Joe (Jocelyn), grandparents Cecilia Missyabit, Millie Missyabit, Mary and Dave Ireland, and Bill and Hazel McKinnett, and two godchildren Kiefer Spence and Baby Melissa. Also left to mourn are his nieces and nephews Felicity, Bryan, Lil Joe, Crosbey, Canyon, Baby L., Keifer, Tyra, JayCee, Breezie, Jordi, Jay-Lena, Allen, Rae-Lena and Joe Jr., his working buddy and special friend Shaun Hunter, as well as many many aunties and uncles, all of his cousins and friends who were very special to him. Raymond was predeceased by his baby boy Jakey, his grandparents Russell and Suzanne Starr, Clarence and Lena Spence, uncles Angus Starr, and Allan Roulette Sr., aunties Anita and Kathleen, and his special grandpa Norman. First and foremost, Raymond was a loving father of six. He enjoyed playing hockey with all his cousins, golf with his lil bro, betting Pro-Line with his dad and socializing with his friends. Ray didn't care who won as long as everyone was having fun. Our lil / big Bro - You left us with the best memories a brother could leave. Your smile, laughter, happiness, pestyness, craziness and annoyingness. Gonna miss your words of wisdom and favourite sayings to us - "Take it Easy", "Yoo", "Nay gotch", "Settle Down", "It's ok- I'm ok", "Ah-Kitten". We will miss you bro. We also reassured you that your babies would be taken care of bro. We will fulfill that promise to you. We will also take care of Mom and Dad, Bro. And you know we will. We know you are at peace now, Bro, you are not in pain or suffering. We know you are watching over all of us from above. Traditional wake took place at his home, 81 Meighen Ave., Portage la Prairie, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 beginning at 12:00 noon. Raymond will continue his journey on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Sandy Bay Community Complex from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and then at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery. We will miss Ray's daily texts and phone calls just to say "I Love You" - we will miss his hugs. We Love You. A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. 204-857-4021 www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
