HUGH HAROLD JOHNSTONE July 16, 1930 - April 21, 2017 It is profound sadness that we bid farewell to our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, Hugh Johnstone, on April 21, 2017 at The Grace Hospice. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Sandy Hart (Jim) and Laura Johnstone; grandchildren, Tracy Cullen (Kirk), Keith Hynes (Kim), Krissy Hart (Chris), Iain Hart (Kristen), Cody Benson and Eric Benson; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kale, Maddie, Blaze and Bozton; brother Earl and family. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Johnstone in 1998 and daughter Catherine Hynes in 2012. Dad lived a full and happy life, spending time at Otter Falls Resort and enjoying many hours of watching baseball. Memorial service will be held, Tuesday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, Winnipeg, MB, with a reception at The Fort Garry Legion Branch #90 to follow. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Manitoba, whose home care nurses got dad's number early on and were terrific to him, especially Kelly and Monique. Special thanks also goes to The Grace Hospice where Dad spent his final days, comfortable and content. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Hugh's name to The Grace Hospice, 260 Booth Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 4J5. Desjardins 204-233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca
