I have known Rick for the past ten years. I remember meeting him on my second day of work at Winnipeg Sewer & Drain. I was initially quite wary of this rough-looking guy, but quickly saw how big a heart he had. He was one of those guys who would tell you how mean he was, then he'd buy you coffee, tell you that you were doing ok, & then check in on you when you were sick. I was proud to work with him, & to know him. - Posted by: Matthew Newransky (Friend) on: May 06, 2017

Rick was my brother in law. He had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor, for some reason he loved to tease me. He always sent me away laughing. We both had the same passion a xmas village (well mine was a village his was a city) his was so large it took up the whole basement and he would start in oct. I was not able to put mine up for years, so took great joy in his. I would buy him and myself a new piece every xmas. We will miss you, Rest in peace Rick. I got to meet Rick a couple years back as my boss brought him on board to join his company. Rick and I got to work together a lot mostly Friday's and Saturday's. I would bring in all the heavy equipment in, set it all up for Rick, and take it all out when we were finished. I'd end up going back to finish up the invoicing while Rick would relax in the van. I knew how much Rick appreciated what I did for him, and I truly appreciate everything he taught me. Even when he'd bust my chops when I'd be texting a friend and he'd be all curious as to who it was. Thanks for the memories Rick, Red Alert Sewer & Drain will forever be grateful for what you did for us as a company. - Posted by: Doug Black (Coworker/Friend) on: May 03, 2017
