LORNA MAUREEN LAW (nee ALLEN) 1924 - 2017 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on April 20 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Delbert Law; sister of Dr. Margaret Allen; loving mother of Chris (Roxanne), Gord (Jeanine); grandmother of Dayna (John) Adam, Thomas, Edouard and Rick; great-grandmother of Jazmine, Owen, and Ben. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Anne Allen and her sister Barbara Walsh of Carleton Place, Ontario. She will be greatly missed by all whom she touched in some form or another, especially by the many friends that she spent countless hours with at the bridge table enjoying the game and each others company. Gardening, knitting, reading, curling, and golf consumed the bulk of her free time. Maureen was a long time member of Regent's Park United Church, the choir, and the Khartum Temple Shrine Ladies Auxiliary. She was employed at the Bank of Montreal, Sun Life, and Westfair Foods until her retirement. Mom and dad travelled all over North America with the Shriners. Summers were spent at the cottage at Matlock relaxing, gazing at the stars or enjoying a bonfire when possible. The family will adhere to Mom's wishes. Cremation has taken place and she will join dad at their site in the St. Vital Cemetery. Memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff and residents at Catherine Place who provided a caring home and companionship for mom in recent years.
