Born: Jun 17, 1940
Date of Passing: May 01, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN DELL Norman Dell 76, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2017. He will be dearly missed by his loving family. His parents, Alex and Jean and son Kevin preceded him in death. Norm is survived by his wife Betty Dell; daughter Colleen Dell (Dave); daughter-in-law Debra Dell and grandson Keenan Dell; sister Judy (George), and cat Sophie. Norm was born June 17, 1940 in Gimli, Manitoba. He met his wife in the North End of Winnipeg over 50 years ago, and could not imagine his life without her. He was a dedicated and proud father who spent countless hours at rinks with his son and daughter while they were growing up. He offered sage advice, and his wisdom is shared each and every day. He was a caring and very proud grandfather of his one grandson. Noman worked for many years as a printer in Winnipeg, before retiring at the age of 55. He loved to spend summers at his cottage near Gimli. He had a passion for animals, nature and world events and loved to read. Norman had a large heart for those he shared it with, and humor marked his relationships with others. Our family would like to acknowledge the people who showed kindness in place of judgement when Norman was struggling with mental health and addiction in his life. The systems we find ourselves in can be very difficult at times, and it is caring people that make them humane. Expressed gratitude as well to our friends and supports. Cremation has taken place, and a private family celebration of life will follow. Details to follow. "When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you"
