ANNE COARD 1928 - 2017 Peacefully, Anne passed away on May 11, 2017 at Fred Douglas Lodge, at the age of 87. Anne was predeceased by her husband Samuel and sister Mary. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Rodrick (Linda) and James (Brenda); grandchildren, Kristina, Sheri, Charmaine, Erin, Lindsey and Adam, and nine great-grandchildren. Anne was a longtime member of St. James Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, a variety of crafts, playing card games at the kitchen table, but especially loved playing cribbage and skunking her granddaughter. The family would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their care and compassion, as well as to her special friend Lynn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fred Douglas Society, 1275 Burrows Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2X 0B3 or Covenant House, 20 Gerrard Street East, Toronto, ON M5B 2P3. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
