Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON ALAN HATCHER Gord was born January 13, 1953. Gord left us peacefully in his sleep on May 9, 2017. The past few years were a struggle but Gord faced his illness with courage. Gord was predeceased by his father Alan Hatcher and stepfather Ted Davidson. Gord will be sadly missed by his son Scott Chaske; grandson Marcel; his mother Joan Davidson; sister Audrey (Keith); brother Rob; stepsisters, Barb (John) Hewitt and Darlene (John) Perry, Kim Chaske, Leona Moore, his aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. Gord had a special way with people which made him a very sociable person. It was his kindness and generosity of spirit that separated him from most of us and is what will be greatly missed along with his famous hugs and witty remarks. Gord was a trucker who thoroughly enjoyed life on the open road. Gord's early years were spent enjoying summers at Winnitoba on Nora Lake where he learned to love nature and pester the Jackson girls. Gord also enjoyed fishing and fun times with his friends at Lac du Bonnet. Gord was happiest spending time and having a beer with his friends at the local "watering hole". Like his Dad, Gord had a love for music. Gord survived the 2006 tornado at Gull Lake along with his good friend Chris Hume; as the tornado was lifting the truck they were in, Gord was capturing the experience on film! Friends are invited to share their stories of Gord at 6:00 p.m. May 24, 2017 at the Royal George Hotel in Transcona.

Gord has always been nothing but kind towards me. Gord always was supportive in regard to my career choice as a steamfitter pipefitter. He always had a smile and a hug for me. Was always glad to see me and let me know that by his warm gentlemanly actions. I'll miss Gord. He made my days brighter just by being himself. <3 On the wings of a dove Gordie. My sincere condolences to his family and all who knew him. May you rest in peace, gentleness and the arms of the beyond. Safe passage my sweet friend. See you when I get there. Big hugs till then. xoxox. With love, your forever friend, Charisse. - Posted by: Charisse Rempel (Friend and co-worker ) on: May 17, 2017
