Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBELMIRA PAVAO Belmira Pavao (nee Borges) passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2017, with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren by her side. Belmira was born on April 9, 1935 in Remedios Bretanha, Sao Miguel, Azores. Belmira will be missed by John, Sally, Maria, and Craig, grandchildren Scott (April), Marco (Tania), Nicole (Kevin), Justin (Kristine), Chantel, Johnathan, and great-grandchildren Kalia, Isabelle, Jasmine, Killian, and baby Tavares on its way. She is also survived by siblings Francisco, Antonio, Manuel, Ascencao, Matilde, and Nelia. Belmira was predeceased by her loving husband Fernando, of 49 years, and brothers and sisters, Filipe, Jose, Maria, and Aida. The family would like to thank the staff at Poseidon Care Facility, with special thanks to Jasminder and Diane for their sincerely loving, compassionate care. Prayers 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg. Mass of the Resurrection 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg with Monseigneur Maurice Comeault presiding. Pallbearers: Scott, Marco, Justin, Kevin, Johnathon, and Joey. The interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made in honour of Belmira to the Manitoba Lung Association.
