GLEN ALLEN WATSON It is with great sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Glen Allen Watson at the age of 63. Glen was predeceased by his father Wesley Watson, and father-in-law John Duguid. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Heather (Duguid), son Grant (Shannon), daughter Amber (Shane) Maltby, grandsons Cameron and Kurtis Watson, and his loving mother Shirley Watson. Glen is also survived by his brothers and brothers-in-law, sisters and sisters-in-law along with their spouses, and numerous nieces and nephews. Glen was born May 29, 1953 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the oldest of six children, to parents Wes and Shirley Watson. Glen met the love of his life Heather in Ingolf, Ontario and were married on June 25, 1977. Heather and Glen began their life together in Tyndall for six years before settling in North Kildonan for 30 years. Glen worked for CP Rail for 30 years where he developed many lasting friendships. Many of Glen's fondest memories were around the bonfire at the lake in Belair with his family and the lake neighbours. Glen settled into retirement in La Broquerie where he loved spending time helping his children with projects around their homes, and having his grandchildren for sleepovers. Glen had a love for people, always willing to offer a helping hand with a smile on his face. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. DIBORJA!! There will be an open house from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday May 18, at Glen and Heather's home, 6 Loutrel Bay, La Broquerie, MB for anyone wishing to pay their respects. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glen's honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
