SHIRLEY GRAYMAN (SHATZ) Shirley Grayman passed away peacefully at the Louis Brier Home and Hospital in Vancouver, BC on May 21, 2017, at the age of 92 years. Shirley was predeceased by her two husbands Morris Magid, and Martin Grayman, her parents, Samuel and Pearl Shatz, and her three brothers, Jack, Harry, and Barney. She will be remembered by her daughters, Marilyn Molly Magid (Randy Bradley), and Susan Raufa Magid, stepson Glen Grayman (Debbie), stepdaughter Jeri Landon (Barry), daughter-in-law Karla Grayman (Steve Dorfman), grandchildren, Ben Bradley (Justine), Dane Grayman (Melissa), and Britta Grayman (Chris Roebken), cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends all over the world. Shirley was a sweet, caring person who above all else loved our family and helping others. She worked as a Social Worker for many years at Century City Hospital in Los Angeles, and later at Jewish Family Services in Palm Springs. Shirley learned to play bridge when she met Marty and the two travelled all over the world, playing the game and dancing together. She loved the arts, music, movies, and debating about world politics. She was generous, and genuinely interested in the stories and thoughts of others. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and everyone who was touched by her. A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg at the Shaarey Zedek Memorial Park, 561 Wellington Crescent, on Friday, May 26 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the charity of your choice.

  • Such a gracious and lovely lady. Always had such words of wisdoms to share. She was always a pleasure to visit with caring and kind words for everyone. She used to walk to school with my uncle Jack Novak when they were kids. I will miss her. - Posted by: Marcia Pitch (Friend) on: May 25, 2017
