PATRICIA WALSH On Saturday, May 20, 2017, in the early morning hours, with Chris and Barry by her side, the world lost a truly beautiful soul - Patricia Walsh. Mom, Pat, Patsy, Auntie Pat and Nancy, as she was known to those that loved her, was a genuinely kind, considerate and generous spirit. Mom bravely fought her long term health battle with grace, humour and dignity. Mom left behind, to cherish her memory, daughter Chris (Barry, and his parents Kay and Harold), son David, stepson J.P. (Ella), stepdaughter Suzanne, brother Tom (Donna, and their loving children), sister Lou (Ted), and several other thoughtful nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband John, her brothers Nick, Joe and Walter, and her sisters Mimi and Jeanine. Mom spent her sales career at Sears where she began in the jewellery department and then became the top salesperson in the furniture department. At Sears, she developed several precious, lifelong friendships over the years. She also took several grand adventures to Australia, Fiji and Hawaii, and travelled throughout Canada. Since she was a teenager, Mom was a devout Winnipeg Blue Bombers' fan who never missed the chance to cheer them on. Words cannot express the depth of our gratitude to the W.R.H.A. nurses for exceptional home care, and to Kelli, a health care aide who became a loyal, trusted companion. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Women's Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre ICU for their tender care. At her request, there will not be a funeral. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in her name.
