Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOLLY CECELIA ELEANOR CLARKE With heavy hearts, we sadly announce that Dolly Clarke passed away May 25, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. Dolly was predeceased by her children, Willard, Donald, and Maurice Clarke, along with her loving son-in-law Desmond Jacob. She is survived by her sister Kathleen, her daughter Mary Ellen, her grandchildren Nathan (Delia) and Justin (Jessica), along with many other loving family, friends, and great-grandchildren. Dolly was born January 14, 1927 in Little Britain, Manitoba. Dolly grew up in Lower Fort Garry and moved to Winnipeg later in her life. She led a long, full life mixed with joys and challenges. She worked numerous jobs throughout her life but found gratification by working at Freshwater Fish for more than 10 years, and helping to raise two of her grandchildren, Nathan and Justin. She enjoyed shopping, travelling, and camping, and in her later years she fondly recollected road trips through British Columbia and South Dakota spent with her daughter Mary Ellen and son-in-law Desmond. Dolly appreciated the simple things in life, like sharing meals with family, a hot cup of tea, or good cup of Tim Horton's coffee. A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, May 31 at 10:00 a.m., at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day St. in Transcona. A small lunch with refreshments will be served following the service. In place of gifts or flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society Manitoba.
