STANLEY HOWARD STARR "JOE LOUIS" "MISKWA BINAISE" (RED THUNDERBIRD) STURGEON CLAN On May 26, 2017, surrounded by his family, Joe passed away peacefully at the Beausejour Health Centre. Joe is survived by his five children: Archie (Bernice), Kim, Chris (Shirley), Wanda and Thelma J., 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; his sisters Lillian Starr and Diane Swampy; and sisters-in-law Linda Arkinson and Lena Arkinson. Joe is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe was predeceased by his wife Grace; parents Archie and Maryann; in-laws Stuart and Ida; brothers Donald, Jack, Ross, Douglas, Georgie; his special nephew Big Doug, who he called "Bro"; sisters Hazel, Doris, Mary, and grandson Kelly. Special thanks to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, Beausejour Health Centre and Pine Falls Hospital. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in Christ Anglican Church, Sagkeeng First Nations. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
