MARLENE DIANE WHEATLEY (nee CAMPBELL) 1951 - 2017 With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Marlene Wheatley, at the age of 65, on May 28, 2017. Marlene leaves to mourn, husband Brian Wheatley, and daughters Christine Fehler (Leonard) and Barbara Wheatley (Vince). Marlene's fur babies, Max and Maggie will dearly miss her. Dearly loved sister of Ian Campbell (Donna), Heather Housser (Tim), Cheryl Beattie (Jim), Doug Campbell (Sandi), and Kevin McNeil (Darlene). Predeceased by her parents Robert Campbell (1985), Pearl Campbell (2007), and sister Debbie McNeil (1998). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A person of beauty, Mom taught us many life lessons, she was an encourager to many and loved to laugh. Marlene was an avid craft person with many cross-stitching and ceramics to show. She loved collecting Campbell Soup memorabilia and travelled far and wide to collect the best pieces. Marlene was hockey crazed and never missed a Winnipeg Jets game, she also loved to tease her Maple Leaf sisters and brothers. We love you Marlene and will miss you deeply. It is said "When someone you love becomes a memory that memory becomes a treasure...never lose your treasure" Cremation has taken place and a private ceremony will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery. A celebration of Marlene's life will be held at a later date during the summer of 2017. In memory of Mrs. Wheatley, her family would appreciate donations to CancerCare Manitoba.
