ROBERT (BOB) THICKFOOT November 12, 1963 - May 29, 2017 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, nephew, and uncle, Robert Thickfoot on May 29, 2017. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his children and grandchildren, Delvina (Landen, Logan and Ryland), Dela-rae (Cacey, Laney, Abby and Emerson), and Desmond, Maria (Ainslee), and his partner Elaine. He also leaves behind his siblings, Brian (Clarise), Corinne (Harley), Karen, Kevin, Charles (Adeline), Derek, and his stepmom Myrtle, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Evelyn Thickfoot, his brother Darrell Thickfoot, his nephew Brian Thickfoot J.R., as well as his grandparents, Andrew and Kate Thickfoot, and Richard and Helen Harry. Dad always enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren; he was always there for them to make sure that they were well taken care of. He loved being outdoors doing things like playing golf, baseball and Fastball (when he could), he loved fishing, and going for drives and walks with his partner Elaine. Dad will always be remembered by his contagious laugh and smile. Wake services will be held at the Black River Band Hall starting Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Funeral service will follow on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the St. George's Anglican Church in Black River First Nation at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Desmond Abraham, Derek Abraham, Jordan Bird, Herman Bird, Brian Thickfoot, and Kevin Thickfoot.
