I grew up on Lindsay Street next door to the Morphys and have many memories of those days. Margaret was a kind and thoughtful person. I remember well her tasty cabbage rolls which she always emphasized where the Lebanese recipe using lamb, and she shared this delicacy with my family many, many times. I also recall that Neil-Jon would occasionally join us for lunch if Margaret was busy during the day. She was a great animal lover with many pets over the years, including a dog called Honey that was OK with my cat Frosty using her as a 'pillow' on the front doorstep! Mom always kept dog treats available for the 4-legged visiting 'neighbours' so we got to share the joy of having dogs around. While Johnny was alive, we were again food beneficiaries of the family's generosity with pickerel fillets and smoked goldeye. I extend to Neil-Jon and Margaret's many relatives my sincerest condolences on her passing. She had a good long life and will be remembered by many, myself included. - Posted by: Gord Richardson (Former next door neighbour) on: Jun 06, 2017
